Player of the Quarter Nominees (Dec 2011 to Feb 2012)

Hi Maestros!

Its been 3 months since we last voted for our Player of the Quarter for Aug to Nov 2011. Since then, many of you have stepped up and contributed more. For example, some players have been coming on time more often while we have more players willing to volunteer to write match reviews.

The time has come for us to vote for our Player of the Quarter for Dec 2011 to Feb 2012 and it was really tough for us to decide which 3 players should be nominated for the chance to be voted alongside our first Player of the Quarter- Big Eric. Without further ado, here are your nominees who have performed well, in terms of gameplay and contribution towards the team.

The Player of the Quarter Nominees:

Alan Chiang
Ever dependable at centre back, Alan has really been a reliable player for Maestro. His commitment and dedication to the team saw him put his body (and head) on the line many times for Maestro to win headers or thwart attacks. Alan also leads by example, by being early most of the time and maintaining a healthy lifestyle outside of football, hence his fitness levels have never been called to question. Along with Chris, Alan has also been contributing alot to Maestro in his free time, through his involvement to maintain and redesign the website.

Jonathan Low
Having grown with Maestros since his Poly days, Jon really established himself as one of the most versatile players in Maestro. Especially over the past 3 months, Jon has played at right back, left back, centre midfield, right, left midfield and did well in each position. His heading ability has also improved greatly in recent months and he does not shy away from physical challenges. Jon, together with Abhi, has also been improving on their punctuality for matches over the past 3 months and whenever called to lead the team in warmups, Jon willingly leads the rest of the team with confidence.

Kartik S/O Narayanasamy
The most, if not one of the most, punctual player to almost every game, Kartik's commitment to the team has always been strong. Kartik's sense of responsibility is also something which all Maestros can learn from - whenever he is late, is absent for games or makes a mistake on the pitch, Kartik would apologize first and provide reasons even though its not required. Never one to complain about where he is played, Kartik gives his all in the game with his hard running. Whenever called to lead the team in warmups, like Jon, Kartik willingly leads the team with confidence.

The Player of the Quarter will be decided by SMS hence all Maestros please send your nominated Player of the Quarter to my handphone at 9817 7390 before 23 Feb 2011 (Thurs).

Thank you!

Walter, Captain
Gerald, Vice Captain
