Swee... Maestro delievered an easy WIN...

MFC 3 : 0 Blue Boys (Jonathan, Chris, Howard)
Match Review by Chris Tan

Before I start this week match review, I would like to thank Walter for the splendid evening spent at the Hogsbreath cafĂ©. Although Liverpool lacklustre performance against Manchester United, the cheers and laughters did sum it up for the year’s tough matches, grudges and friendships. To get the guys interested in reading the match review coming up, I shall put the best photo that we took in Hogsbreath.

Last week was a sunburnt weather, with many of us recovering from peeled skins. Today, the pitch at Macperson was humid and plagued by the hot solid grass pitch. 18 players turned up for the match, much more than expected. The game kick-off with Maestro dominating the whole match - in air, land and players. It had been some time since Gary had a chance to cook Maggie Mee at the goalpost. There was no threat throughout the first half from the opposition. It was not long that Maestro found the back of the net. A free kick outside the box was delivered cleanly into the box; apparently, the ball was in the air for quite a long time, but none of the players jumping was able to reach it. The ball fell awkwardly on the hard ground, and Chris crept up from the edge gave a tap on the knee. Unfortunately, the ball hit the bar. However, Jonathan was the first to be on the deflected ball as he hit it into the empty net.

Despite the early goal, Maestro was desperate to find another one. A good pass from Gerald to Chris on the 15th min, Chris brilliantly turned across the defender and was on the way with 1-1 situation with the keeper. His shot was stopped neatly on the bottom right hand corner by the keeper. Unlucky Chris was eager to replace the TV star Rong An, a lot of pressure on him to complete the task given to him.
It was not long later, Paul gave a throw-in supposedly to Aylwin, which Aylwin managed to knock past the central defender to an empty space. Pacey Chris was able to follow-up on the loose ball and this time, he did no mistake by putting it at the back of the net. With the goal, Maestro subsituted him out to allow Gifford a chance to produce his Drogba magic.

Halftime scoreline: 2 – 0 to Maestro. We'll be back after these commecial break.

The game also allowed many unfamiliar faces to show their skills, Jason Song – COO of the Song Brothers Corporation. He deputised the missing Han Rong. Gary had a pretty good suntanned during the first half was given a chance in the front. Calvin – the forever complain King to be at the goalpost.

There was not much chances, with the only one noticeable chance 1-1 situation with keeper. Alan swung a long ball towards Chris, and under pressure he tried to chip the keeper. The keeper had an easy catch.

The third goal came when Chris quickly picked up a loose ball and not wasting a single second, he threw towards Jason Song, he was free with only keeper to beat. He volleyed hard towards goal, and was deflected by the keeper. Hardworking Howard scrambled to finish the ball at the back of the net.

We'll be back after this short messages:

High Points
1) A break from X-league was well deserved, after suffering two consecutive losses.
2) Generally, domination was seen at every department.
3) Howard’s goal completes his desire as a makeshift striker
4) Henry scored last night. His final farewell game ends with delights.

Low Points
1) Gary will be leaving for Korea to eat Kim Chi, we need a replacement keeper.
2) We should incorporate good ethics in encouraging rather than blaming. Everyone will commit mistakes eventually, but it is how we face the situation.
