Match review by Jason Zhu
First 11: Randahl, Hakim, Augustine, Gerald, Big Eric, Jonathan, Abhi, Paul, Chris, Rong An,Wee Hian.
Subs: Nikesh, Jason, Aylwyn, Han Rong.
First of all, we moved all of our bags to the shelter before the formal match starting. All of our players jointed a warming up practices and some different positions’ goal shooting and more passing practice as well. The match was kicking off with a small rain. Fortunately, not had any lightning during the match. An official photo shooting was taken by the manager of X league before we started the match. Meanwhile, we did a handshake with our competitors. After that,each team captain was asked to walk toward to the referee to choose an opportunity to start the
match. Luckily, Maestro got the chance to kick off first.
The match kicked off with Randahl playing keeper. Chris and Wee Hian play as center backs. Jonathan as left and Big Eric as right back. The center midfielders were Gerald, Paul and Hakim. Right mid was Abhi and Left mid was Augustine. The striker was Rong An. We were playing a 4-5-1 formation.
The match went well for us in defense and attack. The referee only made few good calls for us, and on the contrary, most of good calls were given to our rival. Especially, the key outside was being ignored by him. Big Eric and Jonathan tried their best to keep no loopholes in the defense.
But, their players were running faster than us honestly, so they always tried to destroy our defend relaying on their speed. Whenever there is a high ball coming towards the defense, both of them never hesitated to head the ball away and tried their best to make sure the ball cannot attack our goal. An equal score as 1:1 was keeping until the end of the first half.
In the second half, there was an inspiring play by Gerald and the final one from Hakim. When the result was 2:1, we lost one in second half, and then Gerald got a chance to shoot in the chaotic situation when Rong An passed a free kick to him, then the surprised point was that the ball was finally being found in their goal. Awesome~~ the result was 2: 2 in that time. Before that, Rong An got a chance to kick off a penalty shot, which also got a goal in that moment, but referee penalized the ball was a direction goal, he should present a indirect goal. So we lost the inspiring ball.
After the excited situation and period of time, Maestros hoped to be a final winner for the match,so nobody relaxed themselves, on the contrary, all of our players tried their best to increase communication and nice passing. But our rival also got an early goal than us. So just during the key moment and disheartened attitude from our players, Hakim got a corner kick from our team player, and he kicked it without any hesitated action in that moment. Finally, we got the one more goal, it not only helps us to equalize the score but present the complete teamwork, character and Tempo of our Maestro FC.
Finally, a complete exciting match was ended with a long-lasting voice from the referee’s whistle. Then we never give up to be the top team in the X league. That’s why all of the maestro players are here and ready for the new coming match, what’s the next show? Let’s rock it…….
