USSR completely outclassed by Maestro's "Schoolboy football".

Maestro FC 2 : 2 USSR United (Rong An, Norris)

1. Match selection headache for captain with a good turn out of 20 players. Heartening to see as I think everyone has a good run out. 

First half: Jeramy, Walter, Chris, Alan, Lil Eric, Big Eric, Gerald, Hanwei, Abhi, Augustine, Rong An 

2. MFC started nervously and conceded a soft goal. Keeper of the first half, Jeramy, did his best to keep that out.

3. It was all MFC after that. Rong An fired two shots just wide of the goal and Abhi did not realized he has a huge space in front of him towards goal.

4. Half time team talk was to play with 4-4-2, with no necessary need for two DM as field is small.

Second half: Yangde, Alywin, Alan, Wee Hian, Howard, Gerald, Jinde, Jason, Kartik, Norris, Rong An

5. MFC started the second half spectacularly and raced into a 2 goal lead.

6. Rong An made a through pass to Kartik who was brought down. No red card for the last man, but Rong An despatched the pen kick leaving the keeper with no chance.

7. Jason fed Norris with a nice diagonal pass. Norris crossed the ball towards on rushing Kartik and Jason. USSR defender diverted the ball into his own net.

8. Norris was sent through for a one-on-one to make it 3-1. Perhaps it was the luxury of time, as he waited for the keeper to narrow his angle.

9. The miss came back to haunt MFC as they conceded the equalizer 5 mins later with some neat passes from USSR. Keeper of the second half, Yangde, nearly saved it but came out abit too late.

10. There was several chances for MFC to seal the game. Game ended 2-2 and MFC collect their first point of the season.

11. Recall 20-40 mins of first half and 0-25 mins of second half. The game showed what MFC is really capable of if we have a good match day turnout. Especially the first 25 mins of the second half. I think we blew USSR away with our schoolboy football and I don't think they have any answer to that. Unfortunately the match ended in a draw.

12. Next match: Div 4 champion who did not lost a game in the entire season - New Eastriod vs MFC at 11am in yellow. Bedok Green Sec. For those who have played at Katong, they are Eastchester View from Sunsports League.
