Subject: X-League Bare-Foot Futsal Tournament in support of the Habitat-Barclays 'Bare Your Sole Walk'
Dear Team Managers,The X-League will be hosting the first ever, Bare-Foot Futsal Competition in support of the Habitat-Barclays 'Bare Your Sole Walk' on May 17th 2013 @ The Cage. All proceeds collected from the event will be donated to charity in the form of Habitat for Humanity Singapore's local home clean-up program, Project Homeworks. The purpose of the competition is to serve as a reminder that there are many people out that that can’t afford the simple luxuries in life such as football boots.Date: Friday, 17th May 2013
Venue: The Cage @ 28 Jalan Benaan Kapal (Kallang)
Time: 7-11pm
Tournament format: 16 teams with double knock out
Match duration: 10mins per match
Cost: $150* per team (Each team can register a min of 8 and a maximum of 10 players)
*All proceeds will be donated to the Habitat-Barclays Bare Your Sole Initiative

The Barclays Bare Your Sole walk is a fun day for the whole family to help raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Singapore's local home clean-up program, Project Homeworks. Everyday, people in developing countries & disaster-stricken places make their way through undesirable conditions - barefoot. The Habitat-Barclays Bare Your Sole 2013 barefoot walk is an initiative that supports these children and adults who live in dire conditions, raising much needed funds for projects to improve these people's living conditions by building homes and fighting poverty.
Habitat for Humanity is a global non-profit housing organization that brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Since 1976, Habitat has served more than 500,000 families by building and improving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. An estimated 176,000 of these families are in the Asia-Pacific region, where Habitat has been active since 1983. Thus far, more than 500,000 families and more than 2.5 million people go to sleep each night in safe, decent, affordable homes thanks to the efforts of Habitat for Humanity, our partners and supporters.But the need is still huge. Millions of people around the world live in inadequate poverty housing. Others are struggling to rebuild their homes after natural disasters, war and civil unrest. Habitat for Humanity is there to make a difference and so is the X-League.All registered players can collect their **Goodie Bags from 23 to 25 May 2013 (Thurs, Fri, Sat). Venue is to be confirmed.
