MFC Quarterly Outing!

Hi MFCians,

It is three more games to the end of the season. Whether we will be relegated or we keep our place in the third division, it is the time to come together and gather for our first quarterly outing of the year for a variety of reasons.

The tentative date set is 21 April 2013, immediately after our last league game. Tentative time for the match will be 1pm and we will have our gathering in the evening from 5pm.  I’m “booking” you guys almost a month in advance, so I hope we see as many MFCians and their WAGs as possible.

As I have mentioned in an earlier post in January, we shall appoint a pair of MFCians to organize the four outings for the year. For the first quarterly outing, Eric and I will be organizing. Till the next, we will announce at least a month in advance. Nature of event and venue for this outing still undecided, but below is the agenda of the first quarterly outing:

1) Awards

  •  Best Player of the Quarter (Again, as mentioned in the earlier post, all players will be eligible for the award. Vote for the one player you think deserve the award, be it football or non-football reason).
  •   Most improved player of the Quarter (This player has not only shown an improvement in his overall play on the pitch, but also an improvement in aspects such as attendance, punctuality etc.)

2) Trophy and medal presentation by Walter and Gerald for Maestro’s third place finish last season.

3)  To discuss and decide the plans for MFC’s next adventure (are we going to continue participating in X-league, switch to other leagues, play friendly etc).

4)  To confirm the players and team list to be playing in MFC’s next adventure.

5)  With the above, to discuss whether we should have a new jersey for the new season, a new “uniform” (polo-tee or t-shirt) to wear before and after matches or during events, or maybe stick with what we have currently.

6)  Lastly, an evening of fun with all MFCians!

The webmasters will do a poll on the blog here and I hope everyone can select the nature of event (or even better, suggest one) once we have decided the various options.

Regards,
Guo Xian
