In the X League where a lot of the teams rely on fast, tricky wingers, learning how to defend against them the wingers could greatly help us. The video below feature Brummie's manager Chris Hughton giving tips on how midfielders and right, left backs can work together to better defend against fast wingers.
In summary:
1) Work with your midfield (left and right wingers must come down to support left and right backs)
2) Get tight and show them inside (left and right backs to push up close to the wingers to force them infield instead of on the flanks)
3) Give yourself a headstart (left and right backs should be slightly deeper than the wingers, with the left and right midfielders giving support)
