X-League and New Jersey Payment Matters

Hi Maestros,

This is an update about payment matters for the new jersey and the X-League.

We will be taking part in the X-League Premier Sunday League. This league will be played on astro-turf pitches across schools islandwide, complete with 2 linesmen and 1 referee per game. 2 top grade Mitre soccer balls (worth more than $100 each) will also be given to us for the season. We will also play against 7 relatively strong teams from D2D and EPZEN Leagues who have switched over to the X-League.

The price of the X-League Premier Sunday League? $150 per game + $25 registration fee per team. This works out to be $2,125 for the entire league season, $75.90 per player shared by 28 Maestros who have committed themselves to the X-League.

For the upcoming new jersey (yes, Walter and myself are excited about it too!), it will cost $29.40 per player jersey and $43.20 per goalkeeper jersey for the jersey, the printing, club badge. If you have indicated that you are buying for your partners, that would be another $29.40 per jersey.

This sounds like quite alot of money- depending on what you bought, each Maestro might have to pay between $104 to $148 for everything.

Fret not! Thanks to the sponsorship we secured, the generous Adidas discount we got thanks to Howard and the 1 free X-League game from the league organisers for paying upfront, the amount each Maestro needs to pay is now reduced. We have worked out a package all-in deal for all of you, as shown in the table below:

Funding Principle: All the sponsorship obtained will go towards subsidising 1 of each player's new jersey. The remaining funds are used to subsidise the league cost.
Latest as of 3 Oct 2011:The jersey cost for GAFs is reduced as well thanks to additional discount we secured from Adidas!

As shared with the team today, we will adopt a deduct-as-you-play deal for the X-League. So even though all of you have paid upfront for the league, the Committee will keep a record of the money you paid and deduct away from the cost of each game each week, based on $150 shared among the number of MFCians who played. This means that you might need to pay more (once what you had paid earlier has been used up) if we have less than 28 MFCians every week. This also means that you will not be charged for any game that you did not attend.

In essence, we have subsidised the cost of jerseys and the X-League and tried to make it a fair deal for every Maestro. We would like to seek your cooperation to make the above payment by this weekend.
