Maestro fc 1:2 fc Rovers (Rong An)

After 2 long weeks without a league match , MFC was eager to
continue their winning streak , this time against Rovers fc. Filled with big
and strong player . They are unbeaten in the league just like MFC and one of
the teams that are competing for the cup.
It was a good turn out for the MFC side with nearly 20 players
coming for the match . The pitch however was not the usual size . It was
shorter and less wide giving MFC a big disadvantage over the opponent. MFC
started with a strong and experinced team . With Rong An and Gua Xian up front
and and Gerald and the lung-less Eugene.
The team started well and control much of the match until their
number 10 , a tall , skinny and intelligent player started playing dirty
causing mfc players to get annoyed . The team was fouled countless times on and
off the ball and with an Inexperienced referee MFC
players were the protected and were bullied and scared of the opponent team.
Many on field players were afraid to tackle and afraid when having the ball .
Allowing Rovers fc to start controlling the game slowly . Keeper Brian made 2-3
good save in keeping the match leveled. Hakim had a goal ruled out for offside
and that changed the course of the game totally. Then come their first goal .
With the first coming from a goal the hole team thought was not over the line .
A shot from their tricky left winger was bound to go out of play but their
captain , number 10 , missed his slide but luck was not on mfc’s side as the
ball hit the post into the path of the big man and went over the line .
The second gave our keeper no chance . It
was a free kick from the half way line that was not meant to be a shot . With
all our defender missing their header to clear the ball , it rebounded off the
post and into the goal . our keeper was wrong footed.
The second half was a totally different
story . MFC was confident , unafraid of their players and the substitutes doing
well . We controlled the game . MFC was awarded a penalty with one of the
rovers fc player using his hand to control the ball in the penalty box . It was
Rong An who stepped up to take this one and made no mistake . the score was now
2-1 . MFC now trailing by a goal and looking desperately to score another to
make the game level. Many chances were wasted and our goal scorer again hitting
the woodwork with a superb freekick from outside the box . Player outside the
field bitting their nails with MFC not converting the chances they have to
score.
Unlucky for MFC , there was not enough time
to score the equalizer and it ended with us losing 2-1 . However there are
positives from this match . Now we know that MFC has the never say die
attidude. We never gave up looking the that 2nd goal to the last
kick . We also know that MFC has the quality on the bench the change the game
if the starting line up is not doing a good job.
High points
-good saves from Brian , helped kept the
team alive -good play from in 2nd half
-man of the match to Norris in defence
-good team work and passing
Low points
-lousy pitch-opponent team no sportsmanship
- poor refereeing decisions
