The Maestro Player of the Quarter Award |
A new award will be introduced to recognise outstanding Maestro players. This award will be given out quarterly to one Maestro player who perform exceptionally well, both on and off the field. The Maestro Player of the Quarter would have to display the following qualities: 1) Passion for Maestro FC - To do more for the team, beyond being passionate about the game. For example, organise gathering and other activities for fellow Maestros, leading the team in warmups, drills, helping committee members with their role. 2) Punctuality and Attitude - To display punctuality, discipline, comittment and excellent attitude towards training, warmups and setting a good example for the other Maestros before and throughout each match. 3) Personal and Team Improvement - To display improvement in overall personal gameplay or make efforts to help self and others to improve technical skills and overall gameplay. 4) Integration - To make efforts to integrate with other Maestros, both on and off the field. To also help other Maestros, especially the newer players, to bond with the team. Each quarter, the award receipent will be decided based on SMS votes from other Maestro peers as well as inputs from the Vice Captain and Captain. Each player can only be awarded once, which means that we will have four receipents of the Maestro Player of the Quarter award. Captain and Vice Captain are ineligible. What's the Award? Each award receipent will be formally recognised among the Maestro team with an award symbol on their jerseys, similar to how the World Club Cup and World Cup winners are recognised. In addition, the receipent will receive a mystery gift in recognition of the committment made to the team. Look out for the nominations coming in November 2011! |
