Match Review by Gerald Tan
Final Score: Aang Wolf 2 : 0 MFC
This weekend's opponents were the familiar Aang Wolf and right from the start, the reactions of the MFC players were of one that underestimated Aang Wolf. MFCians tried to play a good passing game but as the Aang Wolf players were everywhere and hungrier of the 2 teams, they managed to get to the ball first on numerous occasions.
MFC was not without chances but failed to really threaten the Aang Wolf goal keeper. Attempts from Norris and Rong An were all futile as Aang Wolf ended the match with a clean sheet. Aang Wolf were the same too but they had 2 good chances and they made the most of the chances that came their way. The 2 goals conceded in each of the halves were due to defensive miscommunications and a seemingly offside decision.
Taking no credit away from Aan Wolf, they were improving as the match progressed. Their passing and physical prowness was too much for most MFCians and they were in control of the game. MFC had some key moments in the match but it was really a forgettable performance from MFC as a team.
High Points
1) Good to play Aang Wolf again; their players provided a good test for MFC
2) Good, hot weather, totally the opposite of the recent weather reports.
Low Points
I1) Poor performance from MFC players and we really struggled to put Aang Wolf under threat and show them what we really are.
