Sunsports League Payment Update

Hi guys,

Just to remind all of you about the payment for our participation for the next Sunsports League season:

As a new rule, Sunsports League will collect the league fees upfront.

Fees Breakdown
Match Fees (inc. Field & Referee) = $109 per match x 18 matches = $1962
One Time Registration Fee = $109
Total Cost for League Participation = $1962 + $109 = $2071
Cost per player = $2071 / 27 players = $80 per player

To help cushion the $80 one time payment, Walter and Eric negotiated for a 2 times payment instead, making it a $40 payment per player, payable at the start and middle of the league season.

$40 per player collection deadline for the start of the season: 22nd March 2009

**Important Point to Note**: The $80 per player is subject to change depending on how many players do not want to play in the league. The more dropouts, the higher the fee per player:0(

FAQ: Is this a cheaper than what we are now paying?
Based on the current pricing system, we are paying a total of : $144 per player if we play 18 matches ($8 per match x 18 matches)

The new season would require every player to pay $80 for 18 matches.

So how come we pay lesser now ($144 vs $80)? It is because the league cost is spilt evenly among all the players, making it more cheaper for all of us to enjoy the game.

FAQ: But what if I cannot come every weekend? I would be wasting my money right?
To stretch your money's worth, try to come down every weekend.

On Walter and Eric's part, should there be clashes with public holidays or exam periods etc, they will postpone the match on a case by case basis to suit the majority's attendance.

In any case, to make your money's worth for your $80 based on the current pricing, as long as you attend about half of the league season ($8 per match x 10 matches), you will be at breakeven!

FAQ: But if everyone comes, then how can everyone play?
The possibility of all 26 or 27 players coming down every week is quite remote; however, if that occurs, Walter and Eric will try their best to ensure that everyone gets an equal amount of playing time.

For any queries, please direct them to Walter or Eric.
